Each bottle contains a little over 40MG per 1mL. Which is easily measured by the dropper included in the lid.

How is Mello Mind different to a tincture or sublingual?

Unlike a sublingual or tincture, Mello Mind is an improved formulation which is water-soluble.

Why are water-soluble cannabinoids important?

Simply because your body throws less away and you feel the relief faster.

The body prefers water soluble supplements as they mimic the body's natural state, and so are allowed to make their way to your liver— where they absorb into your bloodstream— relatively undisturbed. On the other hand, an oil tincture or sublingual, is not as easily recognised by the body, and so by the time it makes its way to your liver, your body has thrown a large proportion of it away. This is why it is so highly encouraged to take a sublingual under your tongue, to prevent this from happening.
Your body absorbs water soluble substances faster. Ever tried to fill up on water. It’s not really possible, it doesn’t stay in your stomach very long. It makes its way through your body to where it is needed fast. The same thing happens with anything that is carried by the water. The body will absorb it faster. Why was this important to Mello?

We were not comfortable providing customers with a tincture, knowing that if they put it in their drinks or foods, their body would throw most of it away. It was limiting. And we were not that keen on always having to take our cannabinoids under our tongue, why bother with that when you can take it in a simpler way. So, Mello Mind was created.

How do I take Mello Mind?

Whilst it is absolutely safe and possible to take it under your tongue, we prefer to add it to any wet or dry food. You can add it to a glass of water, your morning coffee or smoothie, a salad dressing or the icing on your cake.

Why only add to the icing and not the batter?

We do not encourage you to add it to foods that need to be placed in the oven or cooked over heat for a long period of time. As, we are yet to understand if cannabinoids will lose their potency when heated. So if you want to use it in hot cooking, get creative and use Mello Mind in the final touch, rather than the main attraction. Think of it as a splash for your frosting, or dipping sauce or salad dressing.

Why is it milky?

Mello Mind is an emulsification of oil and water. So it is cloudy. This is the result of emulsifying all the ingredients, specifically the certified organic Full Spectrum hemp extract and certified organic MCT Oil with water. Using fancy equipment the oil particles are suspended in the water making them water-soluble.

It is 100% organic and unadulterated, so it does not have any man-made emulsifiers in it, so there will be some separation over time. So, we do recommend shaking before use, and we ask that you store it in your fridge.

This was a choice. We could have flavoured it with peppermint, or vanilla or any natural oil out there to mask the taste and smell of Cannabis. But we chose not to.
